Shevington Football Club can be traced back to playing in local churches league football in 1904.During this period, the club has always plyed it's trade on the Recreation Ground in the middle of the village.By the early 1970's the football club became a more popular recreational activity for the village and a second eleven was formed which is still competing today.Due to the FA broking the Charter Standard, Shevington Football Club evoked on a massive shake up of the Club in March 2008.The 3 man committee took the step to not only embrace the new FA Charter but to introduce junior football teams into the scheme.The new plan was put into place and within weeks the club had absorbed several junior teams into the club.In August 2008, the new structure within the club was formed and in December 2008 a mere 3 months into the venture, the Charter application was submitted.
In March 2009, Shevington Football Club was awarded the FA Charter Standard.
